Alana Kubeczka is an Educational Consultant specializing in Bilingual/ESOL/Dual Language curriculum design and teacher coaching. She also works with World Language programs in transition to using comprehension and literacy based language teaching.
She has over 24 years in the classroom and is currently teaching middle school Spanish and Spanish to heritage and native speakers. She started her career in a Dual Language program in California. After moving back home to Texas, she started teaching in a bilingual classroom. She made a move with her family after many years and began teaching Spanish in high school at all levels to both English speakers and native speakers of Spanish. At this time, she also taught ESOL to adults at the local college. Most recently, she made the move to middle school to teach both Spanish and Spanish for Spanish Speakers. She now has experience at all four levels of education, and is enjoying the diversity.
Most recently, she has begun to share her ideas and experience through presenting to fellow teachers and coaching districts, departments and individual teachers.
